This agency will actively seek a partnership with the community in order to provide prompt and professional service. The goal of this partnership is to improve the quality of life by protecting lives and property, enforcing laws, preventing crime, as well as resolving problems. This will be accomplished by stressing the police officers' role as an integral part of a community problem-solving network. This agency will proactively address citizen concerns by utilizing personnel and resources to promptly and fairly apprehend violators of the law, and to ensure that the rights guaranteed to all under the Constitution are protected.

Darby Township Fire Department
The Darby Township Fire Department is committed to safeguarding the lives, property, and well-being of all who live in and visit Darby Township. Our department operates through two dedicated fire companies: Darby Township Volunteer Fire Company – Station 76, Engine #4, and Goodwill Fire Company – Station 77, Engine #1. Together, these stations provide comprehensive fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, and fire prevention education throughout the township.
Staffed by a team of highly trained volunteer and career firefighters, both stations work collaboratively to ensure rapid, reliable, and professional emergency response—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Utilizing modern equipment and continually advancing training, the department stands ready to respond to a wide range of emergencies with skill and efficiency.
Beyond emergency services, the Darby Township Fire Department is deeply rooted in the community, engaging in outreach programs, safety education, and public events to build strong, informed, and resilient neighborhoods.
